New Discussion Board
(9 March) You'll see a link to "Discussion" under the "Members Area" menu button above. This takes you to the successor to our site at Google Groups. I will try to migrate the information (names, e-mail addresses, and so on) from our Google Group, but I may not be fully successful. You will be able to register afresh at the new site--it's relatively painless--and it will save me some trouble. Inside the discussion board you'll see a number of options, including a button to update your Profile. There is a pretty good Help system included, but it may appear overwhelming at first. (I'm using a public domain program called Simple Machine Forums, which is a very mature and feature-rich.) Go ahead and play with it; I don't think you can break it. There is a board included entitled "Discussion Board: Help!" for you to post specific questions.
New Members Area
(9 March) You may also have noticed the other categories under "Members Area." Clicking on any of these brings you to a password-protected area. The password here is different from that which you'll use in the discussion areas. I anticipate that I'll only create a very few ID/password combinations for the Member's Area, which we can all share; you'll probably only have to enter them once, and your computer will store them for future use.
Once I've populated the area with useful information, I'll send out the passwords to everyone. There isn't much to see there yet.
The new Cory Farm web site is (back) up and running as of
February 22 March 5!
I hope to populate the pages in the upcoming days and weeks, and add more functionality as I am able. For now we'll have to continue to use our Google Groups site for information that needs to be kept private among members; I'm hopeful that I will be able to migrate all the information that is currently at Google Groups to this site in a password-protected area. I'm still learning how to do all this as I go along, so please have patience with me!
